Alba Rodríguez, tax advisor of A Coruña, participates in the Spartan Trifecta World Championship

8 November 2019

Alba Rodríguez, tax advisor in Kreston Iberaudit A Coruña, has participated in the Spartan Trifecta World Championship, held in Sparta, Greece, last weekend.

It is one of the main worldwide races of OCR-obstacle course racing, in which participants must overcome different obstacles such as weights, climb ropes and walls, tracks with barbed wire, etc.

Last year, after completing a Trifecta, Alba obtained her qualification to participate in the Sparta race, in which she has had the support and sponsorship of Kreston Iberaudit A Coruña. The Trifecta consists of completing three races of different distances (SPRINT, SUPER and BEAST) within the same calendar year. Alba achieved it in 2018, when he managed to complete the SUPER distance in Madrid, the BEAST in Scotland, and the SPRINT in Valencia, in night format, a race in which he was 3rd in its category.

In Sparta, Alba completed these three career modalities on the same weekend in 9 hours and 3 minutes, and she obtained the 1st position of its category, the 10th female classification and in the position number 105 of the total of 1,177 athletes, men and women, from 67 countries.

Alba has also participated in many obstacle courses in Galicia and Asturias, and she is a regular runner of TRAIL. Alba’s love for sports did not reach her until she was 25, although her extraordinary evolution encourages all of us to believe that there is nothing impossible, an example of discipline, perseverance and improvement.
